What kind of tree is this?

WOW!

On my way to the university library yesterday, I spotted this beautiful peeling red bark on some trees on the campus - I have realised I really need to start finding out what kind of trees I’m photographing, so I can learn more about them, their habits and environments.

After a quick look on Google Lens, I have discovered this is a ‘Prunus serrula’ a Tibetan Cherry Tree - absolutely stunning.
