Stand & Deliver - MM Vessel

Made a good start today with the first make from the mini project ‘Stand & Deliver’ of the man-made vessel, which is inspired by tin silos and tin farm buildings.

Using the plaster batt made recently using corrugated card, I built the vessel using slabs and coils - it has probably finished bigger than I would have liked!

I then put a layer of white slip all over, with spots of brushed blue and green slip. With a sponge I then sponged some areas off to reveal the clay underneath, creating I hope once fired the idea of distressed tin.

As an after thought I made a cone shaped lid to top the vessel, which if all goes to plan may be the finished vessel to display the food…..
